Installation Notes
1.Installation modalities
Careful consideration should be given when selecting a sensor mounting to the effect that different mounting methods may have on the amplitude and frequency of the sensor. There are a variety of ways to mount the sensor: hand-held probe, adhesive, magnetic seat, threaded mounting, etc.. Different mounting methods produce different mounting stiffness, resulting in changes in the sensor's measurement frequency, the higher the stiffness, the wider the measurement frequency. Therefore, when mounting the sensor it is best to bolt the sensor directly to the object to be measured.
2.Mounting surfaces
The bottom surface of the sensor has a finish of <10μm, and it is also hoped that the user will polish the surface of the object to be measured to improve the finish and flatness, so that the roughness of the mounting surface of the object to be measured is less than 10μm. Clean the bottom surface of the sensor and the mounting surface to ensure that the surface is free of foreign matter.
3.Bolt connection method
Bolt connection is the most reliable mounting method, firstly, drill a mounting threaded hole (hole depth should be longer than the bolt) on the smooth and flat mounting surface. Secondly, in order to ensure effective contact between the upper and lower end surfaces, it is best to apply a layer of grease on the bonding surface to increase the contact stiffness, which ensures that the entire bottom surface of the sensor can be well rigidly contacted with the object to be measured. Finally, use a torque wrench to install the sensor on the mounting surface, the mounting screw holes must be perpendicular to the surface, and the mounting torque is 2.5 to 5NM.
