Causes of acceleration sensor distortion

Causes of acceleration sensor low frequency measurement signal distortion:

triaxial accelerometer vibration sensor

When using accelerometers, distortion is sometimes encountered in the output signal when making measurements in low frequency applications. Using various measurement methods to determine the cause of the failure cannot be found, which causes a major headache for the staff. For accelerometer sensor low-frequency measurement situations, let us share with you the factors that lead to distortion in measurement results:

triaxial accelerometer vibration sensor

Poor low-frequency signal-to-noise ratio of the acceleration sensor system: this situation is mainly due to the acceleration sensor's low-frequency noise is large, so the acceleration sensor needs to meet the low-frequency signal-to-noise ratio index of the sensor.

Poor low-frequency response of the accelerometer system: There are two reasons for this: the cut-off frequency of the low-frequency response of the accelerometer is not low enough. The cut-off frequency of the constant current voltage source or charge amplifier used by the accelerometer sensor is not low enough. In the first case, it is necessary to check the low-frequency response of the acceleration sensor, which can be determined by measuring the time constant, and to select an acceleration sensor with good low frequency. In the second case, it is necessary to correctly select the low-frequency cutoff frequency of the constant-current voltage source and charge amplifier.

Influence of the external environment on the measured signal: This mainly considers the influence of transient ambient temperatures on the acceleration sensor, which can be avoided by using an insulating sheath for the acceleration sensor and selecting an acceleration sensor with a small temperature response coefficient.

Therefore, as long as the acceleration sensor's low-frequency measurement signal is distorted, just compare the above points to see which one is caused by which reason, and targeted to solve it. Mining vibration sensors in use will also have a variety of failures, you can specifically analyze the specific problem.
